GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 3, Northern 0: Playing on the road Monday evening did not bother the Blue Devils, who waxed the Polar Bears 3-0 in a Mid Penn Colonial match.
Greencastle (15-0, 13-0 MPC) quickly took care of Northern in 3 games — 25-12, 25-17 and 25-15. With the victory, G-A clinched the MPC Colonial championship for the fourth straight year.
The Blue Devils went on some punishing scoring runs while Kinzee Hudson or Wren Roberts was serving — Hudson scored 19 points and 2 aces, while Roberts stepped up with 11 points and 2 aces. Greencastle had as many aces (8) as service errors.
Outside hitter Abby Eagler was busy with 15 kills, 3 aces and 10 digs, and Kylie Kerns had 8 kills, 9 digs and 25 assists.
Jordyn Wagner contributed 8 kills and 3 blocks, and Hayden Baer had 6 kills and 2 blocks.
Also for the Blue Devils, who hit at a .354 clip, Roberts had 14 digs, Hudson had 14 digs and Kaitlyn Alvey put up 13 assists.
“It feels great being a division champion for the fourth straight year,” Greencastle coach Madee Goodwin said. “The girls have worked hard and earned it, but the job is not finished yet.”

Gettysburg 3, Greencastle-Antrim 2: The Blue Devils suffered a tough Mid Penn Colonial defeat to the Warriors on Monday night at Kaley Field.
The loss stopped a 3-game winning streak by G-A (7-9, 7-6 MPC).
The goals for the Blue Devils were scored y Braelyn Cordell and Leilah Swain, while Callie Izer assisted on one of the two.
