Greencastle-Antrim 3, Mercersburg Academy 0: The Blue Devils picked up a non-league victory over the Blue Storm on Wednesday afternoon in Mercersburg.

“We played a very good game today — we controlled a lot of the game and Acacia Long stopped many breakaways and was a constant pressure on defense,” G-A coach Keara Allshouse said. “I am proud with how we kept our heads and played our game.”

Emily Fowler, Rowan Shubert and Natalie Medina scored the goals and Shubert added an assist. Goalie Rebecca Jones made 4 saves.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 3, James Buchanan 0: The Blue Devils had to stretch to win the third game, but were able to defeat the Rockets in a Mid Penn Colonial match in Mercersburg on Wednesday night.

G-A took wins of 25-17, 25-18 and 29-27.

For Greencastle (11-0, 10-0 MPC) got big nights from Kylie Kerns (6 kills, 10 points, 3 aces, 10 digs and 12 assists) and Abby Eagler (11 kills, 15 points, 4 aces and 11 digs).

Wren Roberts racked up 8 kills, 7 points and 15 digs and Kaitlyn Alvey put up 9 points and 17 assists.

Also, Kinzee Hudson covered a lot of ground on defense wit 17 digs, Jordyn Wagner had 3 blocks and Hayleigh Lowe had 2 blocks.
