Cedar Cliff 3, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans suffered a costly Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat on Wednesday night at West Shore Stadium, falling to the Colts on a late goal.

“We let in two early goals and took that 2-0 score into halftime,” Chambersburg coach Paul Unruh said. “We were disconnected and, frankly, a little bit stunned.”

The Trojans got back to 2-2 early in the second half on a pair of goals by Bree Paetow. She was assisted by Katy Weller and Kadence Decker.

Unfortunately, Cedar Cliff (6-6) scored after Chambersburg gave up a free kick near the 18-yard line and the Colts scored the game-winner. The Trojans fall to 5-5-1 (3-4-1 MPC), and hurt their place in the District 3 power rankings.

Unruh said, “We have no choice but to learn from this by starting off games with laser focus.”
