Brynn Sekel and Reagan Barrett turned in stat-filled games. Sekel had 4 goals, 2 assists, 4 caused turnovers and 4 ground balls, while Barrett had 3 goals, 3 caused TOs and 2 ground balls, and the two combined for 10 draw controls.

Other highlights included Mollie Yardley-Gontz (3 goals), Mara Costolo ( 1 goal, 2 assists, 2 caused TOs), McKenna Myers (1 goals) and Adele Henry (1 goal).

Coach Henry said, “We looked solid in the circle with Brynn and Reagan. Mollie had her breakout game — she was all over the field. And Mara played well and had two perfectly placed assists. Overall, this was a great team win.”

Quinn Makosy

BOYS LACROSSE
Chambersburg 15, Mifflin County 8: The Trojans spotted the Huskies a 3-0 lead, then turned it around to lead 10-3 by halftime in a Mid Penn Commonwealth win Tuesday night in Lewistown.

“Outside of the first five minutes of each half, and the last five of the game, we completely dominated the game,” Chambersburg coach Joey Wilmot said. “Mifflin County is a tough place to play, because it’s the only grass field we play on all year and we didn’t get much practice reps on grass, so I’m pleased to get out of there with a win.”

Ryan Cosey (6 goals, 3 assists), Matt Tucker (5 goals, 3 assists) and Blake Dupont (3 goals) led the way on the attack, while Quinn Makosy had a goal and 6 assists.

Wilmot said, “Makosy’s been primarily a defensive midfielder, but he stepped up at offensive mid tonight. Our attack has played really well this year and they were great tonight, too.”
