James Buchanan 4, Greencastle-Antrim 3: The Rockets came out on top of the Blue Devils in a back-and-forth Mid Penn Colonial match Wednesday night in Mercersburg.

JB went ahead 2-0 after one half, but Greencastle tied it on goals by Caleb Fritz and Eli Christophel, with assists going to Nolan Sullivan and Cooper Noblit. After the Rockets went up 3-2, Sullivan tied it with a solo effort. But JB had one more goal up its sleeve and posted the game-winner.

“We dug an early hole that we couldn’t get out of,” G-A coach Tim Carey said. “It was a game of big momentum swings in the second half. It certainly was entertaining, but we let another one-goal game slip away.”

The Blue Devils (4-10, 4-8 MPC) held slight leads in shots (13-11) and corner kicks (3-2).
