MANCHESTER — Greencastle-Antrim got over a loss on Thursday to Waynesboro by winning the championship of the Northeastern Tournament on Saturday. It was G-A’s second tournament title of the season.
The Blue Devils were unbeaten in pool play (6-0). Then, in the playoff quarterfinals, G-A handled Dover 25-14. The semifinals brought a 25-20 victory over Lower Dauphin. In the final, facing Mechanicsburg, Greencastle posted a 25-20 win to bring home some hardware.
Wren Roberts had a productive day, racking up 10 aces, 28 digs and 22 kills. Abby Eagler led in kills with 36 and added 18 digs and 6 aces.
Kylie Kerns contributed 35 assists, 25 digs and 21 kills, while Alaina Garling put up 43 assists, 10 aces and 19 digs. In addition, Kinzee Hudson had 7 aces and 23 digs.
