The James Buchanan Rockets defeated Shippensburg this evening 7 to 1 behind a solid performance from Jake Miller.
Miller went all 7 innings for the Rockets striking out 11, 3 BBs, 2 hits and 1 unearned run. Even with 3 errors in the top of the first inning, the Rockets defense stood strong behind Miller’s outing.
Offensively, Jimmy Bell went 3 for 3 with 2 runs and 1 RBI; Carter Hissong went 2 for 3 with 1 run and 1 RBI and Trey Daugherty went 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.
Shippensburg’s Troy Chamberlain went 4.1 innings with 6 hits, 4 runs (2earned), 5 KOs and 2 BBs. Jackson Stought came in for the final 2.2 innings with 1 hit, 3 runs, 3 KOs and 3 BB.
Kaden Shope and Brady Maciejewski each went 1 for 3 for the Greyhounds.
