Chambersburg girls take 2nd in golf match

Chambersburg takes second: The Trojans finished 7 strokes behind Cumberland Valley in a Mid Penn Commonwealth golf match Monday afternoon at Centre Hills G.C.

Emily Rensch placed fourth for Chambersburg by shooting a 90, which included birdies on Nos. 13 and 15, and a total of six pars. But her round was marred by a big number on the No. 2 hole.

Emma Tolbert was one stroke higher at 91, which put her in a three-way tie for fifth. She posted consistent nines of 45 and 46, including a birdie on No. 15.

The other Trojan scorer was Alaina Morris, who carded 100 for her round.

CV’s Megan Fenton won the event by 8 strokes by shooting 76.
