Northern ekes out win over Indians: The Polar Bears won their second Mid Penn Colonial tournament of the season on Monday afternoon, edging Waynesboro by one stroke at Waynesboro C.C.

Northern had 326 strokes to 327 for ‘Boro. Shippensburg placed a close third with 329, Greencastle-Antrim was fifth and James Buchanan took sixth.

Tyler Fortney paced the Indians (16-2) by shooting a 75 to take medalist honors and teammate Kellan Smith shot 80 to place sixth.

For Greencastle (7-11), Cooper Swam tied for 7th with an 81, while Abram Stock shot 82 to place ninth for the Rockets (2-16).

Shippensburg (12-6) got good rounds from Mason Fogelsonger (77, tied for 3rd), Ben Horgos (79, fifth) and Wyatt Knepper (81, tied for 7th).

Waynesboro’s Marissa Musolino had the best score among the girls with a 98.
