McConnellsburg rolls to win over Everett, girls fall to Fairfield

McConnellsburg traveled to Everett for a league match up against the Everett Warriors Tuesday night and came away with a 67-38 win.

Coach Joshua Lowery said “We started out hot outscoring the Warriors 8-0 in the first few minutes, but the Warriors would answer back holding the first quarter to 20-18. From that point on we never looked back as we took the warriors in to half time with a score of 47-25 then to end the game with a win of a score of 67-38.”

The  Spartans were led by  Kole Truax 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, Braydon Ramsey 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, Wyatt Hershey 12 points 4 steals, 2 assist, Kyle Romig 11 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, Landon Ramsey 4 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, Dom Jefferson 2 points, Kade Gress 2 points, 2 rebounds, Kohan Hall 2 points, Gavin Deshong 2 points, Drew Mellott 4 assists, 2 rebounds.

GIRLS: McConnellsburg lost their home match up against Fairfield Tuesday evening with a score of 32-46. Leading scorer for the Spartans was Maggie Mellott with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Lily Truax and Molly Mellott both added 3 points. Nevaeh Earley, Bryonna Ross, Avrie Harr, Janiah Lowery, and Serenity Rengifo all contributed 2 points.
