Southern Fulton Basketball Roundup

BOYS: Southern Fulton defeated Claysburg-Kimmel on Tuesday evening 62 to 42, in an ICC contest. The Indians (16-2, 13-1 ICC) took a 17 to 9 first quarter lead and were never threatened.

Southern Fulton was led by Dane Harvey with 15 points, and 10 rebounds. Ethan Mellott had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Hunter Ward had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Sammy Stotler had 7 points, and 2 assists. Paul Hendershot had 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Austin Mann had 4 points. Ethan Powell had 3 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Clayton Carpenter added 3 points.

Claysburg was led by Elias Ritchey with 13 points.

Southern Fulton next plays at home on Friday night with McConnellsburg, in an ICC clash.

GIRLS: Claysburg 39 Southern Fulton 18 The Indians fell to the Bulldogs Monday night 39-18. Coach Mina Wilt said “They fought hard for only having four players in the third and fourth quarters. Not too many teams can go into these games with only five or six players and remain competitive. Last night was a hard one for us, but we have stayed competitive this season despite suffering various injuries. “

Andrea Elder led with 15 points, 12 blocks, and 10 rebounds. Ashlynne McQuait had 2 points, and Anaya Ritz had 1 point.
