With 1:44 left on the clock in the fourth quarter, a penalty was called against Cedar Cliff, resulting in a stroke attempt. Carly Benedict stepped up and knocked the ball into the cage for her second goal of the season and the victory.

“Both teams battled it out the whole game,” Chambersburg coach Makenzie Ocker said. “Morgan Smith was a leader on the forward end, and Abigail Mowery, Jaxin Frazier and Karley Ridgeway dominated the midfield.

“On the defensive end, each defender and goalie Addyson Hollenshead were determined to keep the ball out of our goal.”

The Trojans are 3-9 (1-7 MPC).
