Greencastle-Antrim 36, Northern York 18: Midway through the second quarter, the Blue Devils found themselves trailing the Polar Bears 14-7 and had connected on only 2 of their 14 shots.

But Greencastle limited Northern to just one basket and 4 points the rest of the way, including zero in the fourth period, to capture a Mid Penn Colonial game on the road Monday night.

An 8-1 run to close the half tied the score and then the Blue Devils (7-0, 3-0 MPC) outscored the Bears 16-3 in the third. Lauren Pool did most of the damage for G-A, scoring 19 points to out-point Northern’s entire team. Pool also totaled 8 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.

Also for Greencastle, Mia Libby scored 9 points and added 3 assists and 4 steals, and Ainsley Swindell contributed 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists.

Northern York 54, Greencastle-Antrim 37: The Polar Bears’ Zach French was simply too much for the Blue Devil defense to handle and he led Northern to a Mid Penn Colonial victory Monday night in Greencastle.

French poured in 12 points to help his team to a 20-8 lead after one period and got 7 more in the second quarter, although G-A (1-4, 1-2 MPC) pulled it back to a 9-point deficit at halftime. French knocked down five 3-pointers.

Blake Shadoan led the Blue Devils with 9 points and Jackson Eby added 8.
