GIRLS SOCCER
Greencastle-Antrim 8, Boiling Springs 1: The Blue Devils’ offense was in high gear Monday night, scoring 8 goals in a big Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Bubblers on the road.

“We played our best game of the season tonight,” G-A coach Chris Noblit said. “After only beating the Bubblers 2-1 at the beginning of the season, the team seems to be playing its best soccer as of late. We will need to play our best because we face Big Spring on Wednesday and then travel to face Northern York, for what looks like the Colonial Division championship on Thursday.”

Avery Parks struck for 3 goals, and Haley Noblit put up 2 goals and a pair of assists.

Other goal scorers for Greencastle (12-1, 8-0 MPC)were Courtney Andruczk, Abbie Wolfe and Olivia Russell, while Mia Libby contributed 2 assists.

Noblit said, “(Goalkeeper) Lexi Nelson had 3 saves while allowing a goal.  That goal is only her second goal allowed of the season.”
