CRESAPTOWN, Md. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers fell behind early and dropped a 3-0 decision to Calvary Christian Tuesday in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball match.
The Blazers (6-5, 4-5 MDCC) dropped the first set 25-10 but kept things close in the second set, taking the Eagles to overtime before losing 26-24. First-place Calvary (7-2 MDCC) wrapped up the match by winning 25-9 in the third set.
Stat leaders for the Blazers were Regan Bard with 13 assists, Julia Waltz with three aces, Morgan Householder with 10 kills and seven digs, and Peyton Timmons with 14 digs.
Calvary won the JV match, 2-0.
