Blazer girls blank Carroll

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers notched three straight victories in sets and defeated Carroll Christian 3-0 Monday in a non-league girls volleyball match.

The Blazers (4-3) won the first two games 25-17 and 25-16. They then had to go overtime in the third set and emerged with a 26-24 match-sealing victory.

Regan Bard contributed 32 assists to lead the Blazers. Morgan Householder led in kills with 18, followed by Julia Waltz with six, Kendra Bard with five and Sarah Vandersleen with three. Householder (six), Peyton Timmons (five) and Kendra Bard (four) topped the Blazers in digs. Timmons and Kendra Bard each served five aces.

The Blazers won the JV match, 2-1.
