Chambersburg roundup: Trojans’ Kiser places 2nd at PTXC meet

Kiser places 2nd: Chambersburg’s Camy Kiser raced to a second-place finish at the PennTrackXC Invitational on Saturday at Kutztown University.

Kiser was timed in 19:03.9, behind only Kaitlyn Highduch of Governor Mifflin (18:59.4) in the 5K Girls Gold race.

The Trojans took fourth place in the team standings with 146 points, trailing only Howard High (33 points), Gov. Mifflin and Hershey.

Also for Chambersburg, Olivia Rieck placed 17th in 20:14.4, Lexi Boyd was 31st in 20:52.6, ALlie List was 55th in 21:53.2, Abigail Bricker was next in 21:52.6 and Emma Armstrong took 59th in 21:55.3.

Chambersburg takes 6th: At the PTXC Invitational on Saturday, the Trojans placed three players in the top 30, enabling them to earn 6th place in the team standings.

Nick Monheim took 21st in a time of 16:59.2, Ben Colli was next in 29th place in 17:09.5 and Ari Snyder was 30th in 17:10.2.

In addition, Karter Reath placed 54th in 17:47.1 and Zack Yourkavitch took 59th in 18:01.5.

Chambersburg scored 185 points, as did Cumberland Valley, but the Trojans won the tiebreaker to take sixth. Severna Park, Md. was first with 57 points.
