The Waynesboro Maiden volleyball team won in straight sets against the Northern Polar Bears 25-10, 25-11, 25-6. Seniors Gracie Vaughn 16 kills, 4 blocks; Sophia Johnson 14 kills, 2 aces and 2 digs; and Leah Helman 3 kills, 17 assists, and 7 digs lead the team. Emily Channing contributed 24 assists, Slaydon Fisher 3 kills and Hannah Knepper 4 kills and a block.
Maidens coach Kim Saunders commented “We carried our momentum over from Friday and really played another overall sound match. Receiving contributions from the depth of our bench is important and will be key down the stretch this last week of the season.”
The Maidens will make the quick trip down Rt. 16 to play the Greencastle Blue Devils Tuesday evening with JV starting at 5pm.
