Indians roll in Colonial golf match

Waynesboro wins third straight: Waynesboro was simply too good on its home Waynesboro Country Club course on Wednesday and won a Mid Penn Colonial match by 49 strokes over Big Spring.

Devin Smith continued to lead the pack, taking medalist honors for the third straight time, shooting a 1-over par 73. He was joined by two teammates in the top five — Evan Stein shot 78 to take second and Dylan Byers carded 83 to place fifth. Waynesboro is 15-0.

Greencastle-Antrim (8-7), led by Cooper Swam’s 82, which was good for fourth place, earned third place. Shippensburg (7-8) got a 90 from Vance Kunkle (he was 10th) to place fourth as a team, while James Buchanan (0-15) was led by Larry Singer, who shot 95 for 14th place.

In girls play, Ella Lowry of Waynesboro put together a round of 88.
