Northern York 5, Chambersburg 0: The Polar Bears won in straight sets in all three singles matches, then won tiebreakers in each of the two doubles matches to pick up a victory Wednesday.

“It was a tough match today,” Trojan coach Josh Barwin said. “We had a lot of unforced errors, but we will learn from the experience. We have another opportunity tomorrow, so we will need to move on quickly and stay focused.”

At No. 1 doubles for Chambersburg (1-1), Stormy Jackson and Ridglee Flohr were beaten 6-4, 6-6 (7-4), while at No. 2, Aspen Kimberly and Sydni Byers fell 6-2, 4-6, 10-6.

Barwin said, “Doubles 1 and 2 both played tight matches, but didn’t have enough in the tank to win.”
