Blazers earn 3rd straight win

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers put together another strong serving night in defeating New Life Christian 3-0 Tuesday in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball match.

The Blazers (4-3, 3-3 MDCC) earned victories of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-17 in securing their third straight 3-set victory.

Emilee Beam and Ryleigh Timmons each nailed five aces and Niki Schussler had four to lead the Blazers’ serving attack. The team finished with 21 service aces after having 20 the night before in a win over Frederick Christian.

Leading in kills were Beam with 13 and Kendra Bard and Morgan Householder with eight apiece. In digs, Timmons led with seven and Schussler added five. Maddie Eberly led the team with 12 assists, while Regan Bard added 10. Sarah Vandersleen contributed four blocks.

The Blazers won the JV match, 2-0.
