Cedar Cliff 74, Greencastle-Antrim 48: The unbeaten Colts threw a 31-point, first-quarter haymaker at the Blue Devils and that was enough to claim a victory in the first round of the East Pennsboro Tournament on Friday night.
“We played well the last three quarters; we just need to continue to improve,” G-A coach Rick Lewis said. “I’m looking forward to see how we keep progressing as the season goes on.”
Cedar Cliff (7-0) outscored Greencastle 31-8 in the opening quarter, although the Blue Devils scored more than CC in both the second and fourth periods.
Zach Cole posted 17 points for G-A (1-6), while Thomas Lewis contributed 11 points.
For the Colts, Joey Zvorsky tallied 25 points, including 19 in the first period, when he drilled all four of his 3-pointers.
