Blazers blank New Life

FREDERICK, Md. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers scored a pair of goals in each half and defeated New Life Christian 4-0 Monday in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference boys soccer game.

Kenneth Hott scored two goals, giving him 20 for the season, and added an assist for the Blazers. Isaac Kauffeldt and David Jeong added goals, and Kauffeldt, Ryan Winters and Elijah Randolph contributed assists.

Jack Gabler corralled five saves in goal for the Blazers, who can wrap up the No. 2 seed in next week’s MDCC playoffs with a victory at home over Heritage today.

The game was stopped midway into the second half after Jeong suffered a serious injury to an arm.
