Fannett Metal 4 James Buchanan 1
Mercersburg, Pa. – Fannett Metal (9-4) made the short trip up Route 75 to play the Rockets and came home with a 4 to 1 non league win. First half goals by Matt Peppernick and Colton Kline gave the Tigers a 2 to 0 first half lead. Gabe Johnson scored with an assist from Kline in the second half. Tanner Siebert then scored on a penalty kick to pad the Tigers lead. Jordan Harbold scored for the Rockets to make the game 4 to 1. Tigers Coach Tom Otis commented, “This was one of our better games of the year. We played with intensity and aggression throughout the game. We also passed the ball extremely well, which was something lacking in the last couple of matches. Matt Peppernick’s goal in the first half was important to get the momentum in our favor. He scored from a volley that he has been working on everyday after practice.”
