Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton (4-12, 4-9 ICC) hosted cross border Hancock in a makeup game and fell 6-2 in a non league matchup. The Lady Indians had 4 hits on the evening. Kylie Golden was 1-2 and scored a run. Julia Barnhart and Kenadee Morton had the two RBIs for Southern Fulton. C. Keefer picked up the win for the Panthers and had 12 strikeouts on the evening. Golden was tagged with the loss. Southern Fulton travels to Forbes Road on Monday, May 13.

Game 2 – McConnellsburg 24 Mercersburg Academy 14

McConnellsburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg and Mercersburg Academy Fulton completed a suspended game from two weeks ago and the Spartans came out on top 8 to 7. The Spartans outhit the Blue Storm 8 to 7. Julia Lafferty led the Spartans going 2 for 4 from the plate. Tomisin Salako homered for Mercersburg Academy.

In game 2, Mercersburg Academy jumped out to a big lead but couldn’t hold off the Spartans as McConnellsburg (9-9) came back for a 24 to 14 non league win. The Spartans out hit the Blue Storm 24 to 16. McConnellsburg was led by Sami Hensley who went 4 for 4. Kailey Swope, Kylie Garland, Julia Lafferty, Karah Stiffler all went 3 for 5. Destiny Hall was the winning pitcher and also went 2 for 3 with a home run.  Anna Deavers and Izzy Jones went 3 for 5 and Erica Eichelberger had 2 hits for the Blue Storm. McConnellsburg Coach Dana Winters commented, “Both teams hit the ball tonight . We were down 11-3 at one point in the game. We got our bats going to come back . It was a close game until the end. I was happy for Sami Hensley, our only senior had a great game at the plate on senior night. McConnellsburg will travel to Forbes Road today (5/8) for a 4:30 start.
