Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road outlasted Southern Fulton in a low scoring affair in Waterfall.  Forbes Road claimed a 1-0 lead after one inning, as Logan Deshong singled then scored on Ethan Wright’s RBI single.  Southern Fulton tied the score with an unearned run in the second inning as Colby Whiteside scored after reaching on an error.  The Cardinals scored what would prove to be the decisive run in the third, as Deshong reached via base on balls, swiped second, then scored on Levi Truax’s RBI single.  Wright collected two hits on the evening for the hosts.  Konner Pittman collected the visitors’ only hit on the evening, leading off the seventh inning with a single.  A trio of Cardinal hurlers combined on the one-hitter.  Caleb Hershey collected the pitching victory, lasting 5 1/3 innings, surrendering one unearned run, walking seven, and striking out five before reaching his pitch limit.  Ethan Wright held the line over 1 1/3 innings, surrendering one hit and striking out 1.  Grayson Hall collected the one-out save, walking one and striking out one.  The Indians’ Isaac Fitz scattered six hits, walked only one, and struck out seven in his complete game effort.  Forbes Road (6-4, 4-4 ICC) travels to Fannett Metal tomorrow to complete a suspended game from earlier this season, followed by the regularly scheduled contest.  Southern Fulton (6-8, 6-5 ICC) hosts Everett for a double header on Thursday.
