East Pennsboro did what the James Buchanan Lady Rockets first 9 tennis opponents couldn’t do … beat them.

The Panthers dominated singles and doubles play and handed James Buchanan 5-0 setback Wednesday in a Mid Penn Colonial Division match.

The loss drops the Lady Rockets to 10-1 and 6-1 in division play.

“The scores are no indication of the caliber of play there was,” JB coach Terri Beegle said.

East Penn (9-0, 7-0 MPC) didn’t lose a game at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. The closest match was at No. 2 doubles where the Rockets team of Megan Rummel and Ashley Grove fell 6-3, 6-4.
