Shippensburg Boys Basketball

The Greyhounds picked up a huge win for momentum on Saturday as they blasted visiting East Pennsboro 65-34.

Shippensburg (13-7, 7-5 Colonial) needed a win to prepare for their final regularly scheduled games before the upcoming District 3 Class 5A play-offs.

The ‘Hounds jumped out to a 24-5 first quarter lead and coasted from there as nine players got into the scoring column.

Alaric Hickman led all scorers with 19 and Carter Van Scyoc added 17, including three 3-pointers. Hickman nailed two 3-pointers.

Jacob Frey scored eight points (2 3-pointers) and Ethan Stouffer added six to the Greyhound cause.

Shippensburg travels to Dover Tuesday and hosts Red Land on Wednesday in their final two contests. They currently sit in the 12th spot in the Class 5A field and the two wins could move them up in the power ratings.
