McConnellsburg 63 Tussey Mountain 59

McConnellsburg (6-10, 4-8 SHL, 4-7 ICC) hosted league rival Tussey Mountain and picked up a 63-59 win. The Spartans were paced by Dom Reed with 24 points and Kolby Brown added 11 in the win. Spartan Coach Drew Washabaugh commented, “We executed well at the end of the 4th, which was nice.  I was pleased with how we battled the whole game, to get an important win for us.  Dom had a big game on the boards (19 rebounds).  Our younger guys (Colton & Garret) played well tonight also.” McConnellsburg will host Shalom Christian Academy tonight. Forbes Road 72 Belleville Mennonite 18

Forbes Road (8-10) outscored BMS in every quarter to cruise to a 72-18 non league win. The Cardinals were led by Grayson Hall’s 22 points. Brycen Hohman added 14 points and Kaden Kuhn chipped in 10. Cardinal Coach Trent Black said,”We were able to use our entire team and everyone got in the scoring column.”  FR hosts Everett on Tuesday, February 6, in a game moved up due to the weather forecast for Wednesday.

Northern Bedford 48 Fannett Metal 43

Fannett Metal (2-16, 1-14 SHL, 1-11 ICC) traveled to Loysburg and fell to the Black Panthers in league competition 48-43. The leading scorers for the Tigers were Lucas Wingert and Colby Adams with 15 points each. The leading scorers for NBC were Caleb Diehl, Jaden Fernandez and Andrew Foor each with 10 points. No JV game. Fannett Metal will host Carson Long on February 7.
