Girls Dunks for Drew showcase

CHAMBERSBURG — For the second time this season, Chambersburg came out ahead of Greencastle-Antrim in girls basketball.

This time it was in the Dunks for Drew showcase at CASHS Field House on Saturday evening. The Trojans ended a four-game losing stretch with a 39-30 victory over the Blue Devils.

Ashley Adams was strong inside for Chambersubrg (5-9), hitting seven shots from the field and going 6-for-6 at the free throw line for 20 points.

Amanda Abbott also was a key for the Trojans, popping in a trio of 3-pointers for a career-high 9 points.

For Greencastle (6-5), Lydia Crist carried the load, scoring 17 points.

While Chambersburg made 7 of 9 free throws, G-A could manage only a 5-for-16 effort. The Trojans outscored the Blue Devils 22-12 in the middle two quarters.

In the first girls game of the day, Shippensburg defeated Mechanicsburg, 32-24.
