Shippensburg Wrestling

Cole Forrester started out this year the way he performed all last season. He won the 220 Pound weight class at the Cumberland Valley Kick-Off Classic this past weekend.

He defeated Chase dull 10-2 in the semi-finals and Dennis Karas of Exeter Twp. 4-3 in the finals.

Sophomore Jeffrey Russell lost in the semis at 113 to Manheim Central’s Will Betancourt but rallied to take 5th place by beating Shane Reynolds of Spring-Ford 3-0.

Sophomore Dylan Ramsey finished fourth in the 120 bracket. He lost to Brandon Meredith of Spring-Ford via pin in the semis but battled back to the 3rd place match. He dropped that match 3-0 to Ken Hayman of Canon-McMillan.

Colton Musser dropped a 4-0 decision to Lukas Wandling of Cumberland Valley in the fifth round of consolations.

Shippensburg finished 16th as a team with 75 points.

The Greyhounds wrestle at Boiling Springs Thursday and in the Carlisle Invitational this coming weekend.
