Hershey 3, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans played a close match against perennial league contender Hershey on Monday afternoon in a non-league contest at Norlo Park.

Chambersburg (7-5) did manage to capture both doubles contests. At No. 1, Gretta Hill and Nina Kuchar won 6-4 in the first set, and then collected a 7-6 (6) tiebreaker verdict. No. 2 doubles was a 6-4, 6-0 victory for Sophie Keller and Kendall Temchack.

Hershey pulled out wins in the three singles matches. The Trojans’ Leah Wadel dropped a 6-0, 6-2 loss at No. 1, Charlie Kalathas was defeated 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 and Olivia Keller suffered a 6-1, 6-1 loss at No. 3.

FIELD HOCKEY
Greencastle-Antrim 2, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans’ defense ran into a tough adversary in the Blue Devils on Monday night at Kaley Field and G-A’s defense shone in a Mid Penn Colonial shutout.

Chambersburg is 3-5-2, 3-2-2 MPC). For Greencastle (6-3, 5-2 MPC), Rowan Shuster and Natalie Medina scored the goals.
