Greencastle-Antrim 3, Chambersburg 2: Serenity Goodman poked a shot into the back of the cage with just 2 minutes remaining to lift the Blue Devils to a stirring Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Trojans on Saturday morning at Trojan Stadium.

Sydnee Bosko supplied the assist to the game-winner.

Greencastle (5-2, 4-1 MPC) opened up leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by Natalie Medina in the first and third quarters. One goal was unassisted and the other had a helper by Rowan Shubert. Chambersburg (1-4-1, 1-1-1 MPC) fought back to tie the game both times.

“It was a very exciting game,” G-A coach Keara Allshouse said, “and both teams player well. When Chambersburg scored to tie the game in the fourth quarter, the girls responded with focus and intensity. We didn’t get discouraged when they tied it up; they got fired up  and focused instead.”

Katy Bream made 5 saves in goal for Greencastle, and Maggie Spidel had a defensive save.
