Coach’s view: “We told the kids that we are 0-3, but we should be 2-1. It’s just little mistakes we’re making that are making the difference. This week, we have to minimize those mistakes, win the turnover battle (Chambersburg’s defense has no turnovers yet) and do better in the red zone — our percentage of scoring in that area is not good.”
Unsung: Carter said, “Lucas Ocker keeps finding ways to get it done as a receiver. He and Jashaun Palmer, and the receivers in general, kept us in the game last week.”

They have a new quarterback who is more of a pocket passer, and he’s got a good arm and lots of weapons to throw to.”
Coach’s view: Thurston said, “I think we are a little more prepared for this game than we were last year; it’s a better matchup. It’s going to take us playing all four quarters well, something we haven’t done yet. On film, we see that (ST) makes some mistakes, so we just have to make fewer.”
Unsung: TE/DE Zachary Russell had a nice last week … He caught a pass for a 2-point conversion on a fake kick and was credited with 2 sacks on defense … Thurston said, “We saw on film that JB really crashed on extra points, so we worked on that play and were able to make it work. On defense, he and some other guys seemed like they were always in JB’s backfield. Zach’s a great kid who is always ready to go.”
