G-A roundup: Boys soccer edges Bubblers, 2-1

Greencastle-Antrim 2, Boiling Springs 1: The Blue Devils produced a quality Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Bubblers on Saturday afternoon at Kaley Field.

Mason DeVaughn scored the first goal for Greencastle, which is now 3-1-1 (1-1-1 MPC). After Boliing Springs evened the count, G-A took the lead for good when DeVaughn assisted Caleb Noll for the game-winner.

“The guys have bought in and are believing in themselves, and it’s showing,” Blue Devil coach Ryan Palmer said.

Greencastle-Antrim 5, Central Dauphin East 0: The Blue Devils made a trip to Colonial Park to meet the Panthers worth the travel, coming home with a complete win in a Mid Penn Colonial contest Saturday morning.

G-A coach Keara Allshouse said, “The entire team worked as a cohesive unit, distributing the ball and keeping possession. Everyone got time in today’s game and Olivia Worley scored her first varsity goal on a penalty corner.”

Rowan Shubert led the way for Greencastle (2-2, 1-1 MPC) by tallying 3 goals, one coming on a penalty stroke. Natalie Medina and Worley had the other goals, while Medina, Caroline Barnes and Sydnee Bosko were credited with assists.
