Chambersburg 5, Harrisburg 0: The Trojans stretched their wins and shutouts streak to 4 matches by handling Harrisburg 5-0 in a Mid Penn Commonwealth match Monday afternoon at Norlo Park.

Chambersburg (4-0, 3-0 MPC) dominated the two doubles matches. At No. 1, Aria Barberio and Gretta Hill pulled off a 6-0, 6-0 blanking, while at No. 2, Sophie Keller and Callie Yardley-Gontz picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

The three singles players each had more challenging matches.

At No. 1, Leah Wadel posted  a 6-4, 6-1 win, No. 2 Olivia Keller earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory and Nina Kuchar scored a win at No. 3, with the scores being 6-2, 6-3.

Red Land 10, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans had a rough start to the season, falling to the Patriots in a non-league game on Monday afternoon at Trojan Stadium.

Chambersburg goalie Lacey Mooney recorded 26 saves in the contest, and Kaelyn Coy notched a defensive save.

Trojan coach Rachael Sanders said, “Lacey turned in an excelllent performance, despite the final score. We are looking to learn from the loss, continue to improve, and find our offensive rhythm.”
