Kaden Saunders was dominant on the hill, as the hurler rang up 10 strikeouts in SoFo Indians’s 8-0 victory over McConnellsburg Spartans on Saturday at McConnellsburg High School. Saunders allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking ten.

SoFo (14-1, 5-1) got on the board in the top of the first inning after consecutive singles by Paul Hendershot and Austin Mann and a walk loaded the bases.  Owen Oakman was struck by a pitch, Saunders hit a sacrifice fly, and Hoyt Glenn balked, each scoring one run.

SoFo  added one run in the second. Paul Hendershot hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 4-0.

SoFo added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Cam Cain singled down the right field line, and , each scoring one run.

Glenn took the loss for McConnellsburg Spartans. The starting pitcher went two innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out one and walking one.

SoFo  tallied nine hits in the game. Hendershot, Brady Dressel, and Austin Mann each collected two hits for the Indians. Hendershot went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.

SoFo Indians will host the McConnellsburg Spartans on Tuesday In their last home regular season game  at 4:30pm.
