Austin Mann collected three hits in four at bats, as the SoFo Indians (11-1, 3-1) avenged its only loss of this season by convincingly defeating the Everett Warriors 11-0 on Thursday at Everett Area Elementary School.
Mann tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
SoFo opened the scoring in the top of the first with Mann’s bases clearing triple.
The Indians ran away from the Warriors with six runs in the fifth inning. Brooks Norris drew a walk, scoring one run, Kaden Saunders drew a walk, scoring one run, Charlie Weicht drew a walk, scoring one run, Brady Dressel drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
Kaden Saunders earned the win for the Indians. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking four. Chase Sherwood took the loss for Everett Warriors. The starter went four innings, giving up five runs on four hits, striking out four and walking five. Colt Mann pitched one inning of no-run ball for the Indians in relief. The hurler gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
Dressel, Saunders, and Mann each drove in two runs for SoFo. Owen Oakman paced SoFo Indians with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting 11 walks for the game. Norris and Oakman each stole multiple bases for the Indians. The Indians stole four bases in the game.
The Indians play at home on Tuesday against Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs in their next game.
