Mechanicsburg 3, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans won 3 sets by tiebreaker, but that wasn’t quite enough to defeat the Wildcats in a non-league match Friday afternoon on the road.

Anton Winter picked up a 7-6 (5), 6-2 battle against Mechanicsburg’s Daniel Wenger at No. 1 singles.

Also for Chambersburg (5-8), the No. 1 doubles team of Caden Brenize and Drew Staley squeezed out a narrow win over Daniel Teppig and Vincent Margel, winning tiebreakers 7-6 (5) and 7-6 (3) to post the victory.

At No. 2 doubles, the Trojans’ duo of Nate Weis and Seth Walter won the first set 6-2, but then went downhill, dropping sets of 4-6 and 0-6. In singles, Eli Keeler fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 and Micah Detweiler was beaten 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3.
