The SoFo Indians could not keep pace with the Everett Warriors 6-3 on Saturday at Southern Fulton in the 2026 season opener for both clubs.
Everett got on the board in the top of the third inning after an error scored one run, Spencer Shaw drew a walk, scoring one run, Trent Cessna singled, scoring one run, and Jackson Dinnocenti singled, scoring two runs.
Chase Sherwood earned the win for the Everett Warriors. The big lefty gave up two hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking three. Colt Mann pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for the Indians. The reliever allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) while, striking out four and walking three. Cam Cain took the loss for SoFo. The junior pitcher went two and one-third innings, surrendering three runs on three hits, striking out five and walking two.
Brooks Norris, Paul Hendershot, Colt Mann, and Brady Dressel each collected one hit for the Indians.
Shaw, Cessna, Cody Spade, Lane Whitfield, Levi Cornell, Sherwood, and Dinnocenti each collected one hit for Everett. Shaw and Dinnocenti each drove in two runs for the Warriors.
SoFo Indians look to rebound and return to action at home on Friday against the Mountain Ridge Miners.
