The Shalom Lady Flames traveled to Mercersburg Tuesday night for a rescheduled non-PIAA matchup and suffered a tough 66–40 loss. Mercersburg capitalized on its transition game and delivered an outstanding shooting performance from beyond the three-point line, to build a commanding 42–19 halftime lead. The Blue Storm totaled 13 3’s for the game.
The Flames battled hard in the second half, playing the Blue Storm evenly, but the 22-point deficit at the break proved too much to overcome.
Offensively, the Flames were once again led by their three senior captains. Maya Lehman scored 10 points, while Addisson Adams and Emily Rebok each added 9. Sophomore Sydney Moore contributed 5 points. Julianna Myers provided a strong presence on the boards, working tirelessly against a much taller Blue Storm squad.
Next up, the Lady Flames travel to Cumberland, Maryland, to face the Mountain Ridge Miners in their final regular-season matchup at 7:00 p.m. The game will be available to view on the NFHS Network.
