BOYS BASKETBALL
McConnellsburg 60, Northern Bedford County 24. The Spartans traveled January 19th to Northern Bedford County (NBC) for cross-conference games against the Panthers. The first meeting on December 10th the Spartans handily won 57-18 and similarly here decisively controlled the game winning by 36 to victory #14.
The Spartans Hoyt Glenn and Brayden Ramsey achieved double doubles, with Glenn posting 23 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and three steals, and Brayden Ramsey adding 15 points and 10 assists and seven boards. Off the bench, Jett Sipes added seven points.
The Spartans effortlessly added 10 points at the early onset of the first quarter. Halfway, with two treys from Glenn and one from Shaffer Earley the Spartans were off to a 15-3 lead. The quarter ended 18-5 when Ramsey hit a long look-away trey at the buzzer. The second quarter nearly mirror the prior in lopsided scoring with the Spartans leading at half 34-9. The Spartans added another 11 points in the last two quarters and at one point in the fourth were up 36.
The Panthers’ Nevin Lloyd led with eight points and Cavan Lloyd added seven.
