McConnellsburg 63, Everett 36.  The Spartans hosted the Everett Warriors on January 9th in an ICC matchup and put on a combined 27-point spread over the first three quarters to surpass the competition and seal the fate of the game.

After four- and one-half minutes in quarter one, and a 9-9 score, the Spartans forced Warrior turnovers to go on an eight-point run, and at the period buzzer Spartan’s Hoyt Glenn hit a baseline three to extend the lead and post a 17-9 score.

The second quarter continued with Spartan dominance as seven more (15 total) unanswered points (with a Glenn dunk) were added before a Warrior score.  They had been held scoreless five- and one-half minutes over the two quarters.  The first half ended 38-20, well in control.

The third quarter resembled the first with a 16-7 scoring overpowerment by the Spartans and at quarter’s end 54-27, holding a comfortable 27-point lead, that was maintained to the finish.

McConnellsburg (10-0, 3-0 ICC-S) now has won ten straight with another stand-out performance from Glenn with 30 points, shooting 10-14 (71%) from two-point range, and seven steals.  Brayden Ramsey added 13 points, shooting 4-6 (2FG) and 5-7 (FT).  Jake Hann added eight. Shaffer Earley pulled seven rebounds.

Everett had nearly equal contributions from their squad with Luke Whitefield adding seven points and Cody Spade, Layne Whitefield, and Adrick Schreiber each adding six.
