BOYS BASKETBALL
Cocalico 58, Greencastle-Antrim 48: The Blue Devils trailed by just 2 points at halftime, 36-34, against the Eagles in a first-round game of the Garden Spot Tournament on Monday afternoon, but could muster only 14 points in the second half to fall by 10 points.

G-A (6-2) had a 6-game winning streak halted. It will play Garden Spot at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Timmy Hambright, who led all scorers with 22 points, nailed four 3-pointers in the second period to help give Cocalico (7-1) the halftime lead. Greencastle’s defense adjusted, and he was held to just 2 points in the second half, but the G-A offense slowed down, too.

Dez Holman led G-A with 14 points, Cooper Green had 13 and Alex Albright added 10.

The Eagles hit 8 threes, while the Blue Devils posted only 3.
