Addison Adams scores 1000th point for the Lady Flames

The Shalom Lady Flames picked up another win this weekend and claimed the High Point Baptist Tournament championship. The Flames played a composed game against a very athletic and tenacious Lincoln Leadership Lady Lions team. Though the game felt much closer than the final score suggests, Shalom stayed focused and locked in defensively, pulling away for a 56–25 victory.

Addison Adams scored 14 points and reached a major milestone, hitting her 1,000th career point on a three-pointer in the second quarter. Addison has been a huge part of the Flames’ success over the past four years. Her aggressive play, tenacious defense, and relentless pursuit of every rebound have all contributed to this well-earned achievement. Congrats, Addison—what an impressive accomplishment!

The Flames also got strong contributions across the lineup:

·       Emily Rebok — 14 points

·       Harper Adams — 8 points

·       Julianna Meyer — 6 points plus a stack of key rebounds

·       Maya Lehman — 5 points while calmly controlling the floor against an athletic, high-pressure defense

Up Next: The Lady Flames face the Pequea Valley Lady Braves on Monday. JV tips off at 4:00 p.m., followed by varsity at 5:15 p.m.

On Friday the Shalom Lady Flames  won 49–19 over the High Point Lady Eagles.

Shalom came out strong, jumping to a 20–4 lead after the first quarter. The Flames’ offense created plenty of scoring opportunities, and their defensive intensity limited the Eagles’ chances all night. By halftime, Shalom had extended the lead to 35–12.

In the second half, the Flames eased off the throttle but continued to widen the gap while giving valuable varsity minutes to their freshmen and sophomores.

A bright spot for High Point was Lily Seifert, who led all scorers with 15 points. Seifert is poised for a strong season as she returns from the ACL tear, she suffered early last year.

Shalom’s three seniors paced the offense once again:

·       Addison Adams — 13 points

·       Maya Lehman — 12 points

·       Emily Rebok — 11 points
Freshman Harper Adams added 7. After struggling on the boards against Fairfield on Monday, the Flames bounced back and controlled the glass, often limiting the Eagles to just one shot per possession.
