The Trojans bolted to a 52-26 halftime lead and ended up beating Steel-High, 81-49.

Chambersburg will face host York Suburban in the final Saturday night at 7:30. Suburban crushed Columbia, 79-21.

“I really liked how we shared the basketball tonight,” Trojan coach Shawn Shreffler said, “and that led to a lot of guys contributing. We definitely have things to work on, but it was great to play an actual game and learn from our mistakes.”

Grayson Kegerreis, who played for Chambersburg two years ago and returned this year, had the hot hand. He dropped in six 3-pointers and totaled 24 points. Newcomer Malachi Duhaney had a nice debut, scoring 17 points.

Colton Corwell  (14 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists), Landon Buhrman (9 points, 8 rebounds) and Angelo Onomastico (5 points, 8 assists) also had heavy contributions.

Duhaney scored 9 points in the first period as the Trojans built a 24-12 lead. Cornwell had 10 points in a 27-14 second-period advantage, and Kegerreis scored 11 in the third period.

Shreffler said, “Tomorrow will be a really good challenge for us because we’ll play an excellent team in a tough environment.”

For the Rollers, Saint Brown led the scoring with 13 points.
