Lady Indians dominate McConnellsburg


The Southern Fulton Lady Indians were on fire Tuesday night, sweeping county rival McConnellsburg in straight sets — 25–21, 25–21, 25–15 — to improve their record to 12–9 on the season.

Leading the way for Southern Fulton was Claire Harvey, who recorded 10 kills, 9 service points, 3 blocks, and 8 digs in an outstanding effort at the net. Kennedy Hixon effectively guided the offense, finishing with 20 assists, 9 points, and 6 digs. Bailey Hull contributed a balanced performance with 7 kills, 7 points, 2 blocks, and 7 digs, providing both offensive power and defensive consistency.

Defensively, Alexis Johnson anchored the back row with 10 digs, while also adding 5 points, 3 kills, and an assist. Kamryn Pittman turned in a steady performance with 6 points, 4 kills, and 8 digs. Elsie Murray contributed 4 points and 4 digs while Lakyin Hixson and Regan Hepburn provided defensive support.

The Southern Fulton JV team battled closely (19-25, 22-25) but ultimately fell to McConnellsburg in a hard-fought contest moving their record to 5–12.

The Junior High A Team continued its strong season, improving to 14–4 with a straight-set victory over McConnellsburg, 25–6, 25–12. With the win, the Lady Indians clinched the ICC South Division title and will travel to face Windber on Thursday, October 16th, in the ICC semi-final match.

JV and Varsity will welcome Tussey Mountain at home on 10/16 for their last home game of the season.
