Boys Soccer: McConnellsburg 4, Fannett-Metal 0: On October 6^th, McConnellsburg (15-0, 7-0 ICC-E) hosted the Fannett-Metal Tigers in an ICC rematch on October 6^th. and earned their twelfth season shutout victory.

In the first half, Grady Shives scored at just over twenty-one minutes in.  With a minute remaining, Hoyt Glenn scored, his 31^st of the season, to take it to halftime leading 2-0.  Just over two minutes into the second half, Gavin DeShong scored on a header shot on goal from a Jackson Skiles corner kick.  With eight minutes remaining, Skiles put the icing on the cake with an unassisted goal in the Spartans’ victory.  Jace Fletcher, DeShong, and Glenn each recorded an assist.

Previously:  the Spartans visited the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers on Saturday and recorded a shutout victory 2-0 scoring both in the second half.  Brayden Ramsey and Hoyt Glenn each scored a goal, and Grady Shives and Callen Mellott each recorded an assist.

Up next: the Spartans will host county rival Southern Fulton for their second conference game, scheduled for 7 PM on Friday, October 10^th.  They previously defeated the Indians 11-0 on August 22^nd.

GIRLS SOCCER: McConnellsburg 2, Fannett-Metal 0.  The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans (13-2, 10-1 ICC-S) hosted the Fannett-Metal Lady Tigers in an ICC rematch on October 6^th . and earned their eighth season shutout victory.

Right wing Serenity Rengifo scored unassisted within two minutes of play to the nearly 400 in attendance.  With 5 seconds remaining a Spartan kick deflected off a Tiger defender into the goal, putting the Spartans up 2-0 at halftime.  In the second half, the Spartans recorded more shots and ended the game holding the Tigers scoreless.
