The Southern Fulton varsity volleyball team improved its record to 6–2 with a decisive three-set victory over Fannett-Metal on Wednesday evening. The Indians controlled the match from start to finish, winning by scores of 25–16, 25–9, 25–13.
Balanced contributions across the roster fueled the sweep. Alexis Johnson provided steady offense with 8 service points and 2 kills, while Kamryn Pittman added 6 kills, 5 digs, and an assist. Claire Harvey contributed 6 kills, 3 points, 2 blocks, and 4 digs.
At the service line, Elsie Murray and Bailey Hull each tallied 10 points, with Hull also contributing 3 kills, 1 assist, and 3 digs. Lakyin Hixson was reliable with 10 service points and 3 digs. Setting duties were led by Kennedy Hixon, who dished out 11 assists to go with 4 points and a dig, while Sam Smith added 4 assists and 7 points.
Southern Fulton’s aggressive serving and consistent net play proved too much for Fannett-Metal, sealing another straight-set win.
Southern Fulton will welcome Claysburg- Kimmel on Monday, September 15th.
