Noah Mulewich scored early in the second half to give the Trojans (2-0-2, 2-0-1 MPC) a lead, then Arana scored twice to put the game away. Deklin Shank assisted on one of his goals.

Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said, “Brandon Arana gave us a spark in the second half, scoring a brace of goals, including scoring on a beautiful volley kick. Noah scored his off a rebound.”

The Trojans overwhelmed Cedar Cliff, outshooting them 22-0 and leading in corner kicks, 6-1.

“I’m glad to come away with a win up there and another clean sheet,” Grove said. “Our back line played another solid game and we got back to scoring goals that I know this group can do. We had a good rotation of players today and everyone who got an opportunity put in a good shift.”

Chambersburg 2, Cedar Cliff 0: The Trojans evened their record at 2-2 (1-2 MPC) by putting up a shutout of the Colts in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game at Trojan Stadium on Tuesday night.

Kadence Decker

Chambersburg’s first goal came midway through the first half. After a flurry of Trojan shots, Bree Paetow found Kadence Decker with a pass and Decker buried the ball into the net from close range.

“We came out strong in the second half, but were unable to capitalize on our possession,” Chambersburg coach Paul Unruh said.

With 15 minutes to go, the Colts were called for a foul in the penalty box and Malia Cramer converted the penalty kick for an insurance goal.

Unruh said, “Our shooting accuracy was quite disappointing tonight, but we were able to maintain defensive solidarity to neutralize their attacks, which threatened in the wide areas.”
